On Friday 23rd June, 2017 the Directorate of Gender Affairs within the Ministry of Social Transformation & Human Resource Development launched its Support And Referral Centre (SARC). The centre provides medical care, counseling services, and legal assistance to victims of gender-based and sexual violence and human trafficking from one location.
Funding for the SARC was made possible by the United Nations Trust Fund Project to End Violence Against Women, and additional support from UN Women Multi-Country Office – Caribbean.
